Police: Stolen Wallets; OUI Arrest

Friday, July 17

At 2:13 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen from the Wakefield High School cafeteria.

At 8:36 p.m., a wallet was reported stolen from a car on Lowell Street.

Saturday, July 18

At 8:17 a.m., there was a report of a car stolen overnight. The caller’s spouse had taken the car and was going to return it.

At 9:39 p.m., fireworks were reported on Hart Street.

Sunday, July 19

At 11:04 a.m, there were multiple calls about a woman yelling at cars on North Avenue. Police sent the woman on her way and told her she can’t be yelling at cars.

At 2:11 p.m., police arrested Lisa A. Merritt, 52, of 34 Armory St. in Wakefield and charged her with operating under the influence of liquor, failure to stop for police, leaving the scene of property damage, a red light/stop sign violation, and operating a motor vehicle to endanger.
