Proposal Would Add Lanes On I-95 In Reading, Wakefield
An upcoming public hearing will review proposed changes to I-95 in three Massachusetts towns.
WAKEFIELD, MA — A virtual meeting will be held next month to discuss proposed improvements for I-95 northbound in Reading, Wakefield, and Stoneham.
The hearing is intended to inform the public on the project, according to MassDOT.
The proposed project consists of adding a fifth lane on I-95 northbound between I-93 and Route 28 northbound offramp and a fourth lane between Route 28 and North Avenue.

Safety improvements include updated signage and striping and wider shoulders, according to MassDOT. Noise barriers are proposed along on both sides of I-95.
