Robbery at East Boston Savings Bank, Police Searching for Suspect

An unknown male suspect robbed the East Boston Savings Bank on Main Street in Wakefield on Thursday afternoon.

Police are searching for a man who robbed the East Savings Bank on Main Street in Wakefield Thursday afternoon, according to Wakefield Police.

The man entered the bank around 3 p.m., passed a bank teller a note demanding money and saying he had a weapon, although no weapon was shown at the time of the incident, according to police. A dye pack exploded after the suspect received the money. The suspect fled the business and left driving down Albion Street.

Wakefield Police have put out a be-on-the-lookout call for a black Honda with Maryland plates (partial plate 5FF), driven by a white male about 6-foot-3, wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a baseball hat.
