WAKEFIELD, MA — Democratic candidate Samantha Hammar invites the Wakefield community to join her for a campaign event Tuesday, April 10, at Public Kitchen on Main Street.

“Some people think I’m running on ‘women’s issues’,” says Hammar. “But student loan debt, our housing crisis, and access to affordable child and senior care are issues that affect everyone -- they just happen to be this woman’s issues.” The Tuesday gathering is part of an ongoing series of “Hammar Time” events scheduled across the Fifth Middlesex District.

“We’ve had a tremendous response so far," said campaign manager Yael Mazor-Garfinkle. "Sam’s message really resonates with voters who are looking for bold, new leadership. She’s passionate about making Beacon Hill work better for working families... We’re excited for folks in Wakefield to feel that energy. ”
