WAKEFIELD, MA — The following are excerpts from the Wakefield Police Logs from Aug. 29 through Aug. 31. Information below does not indicate a conviction.
Aug. 29
8:57 a.m.: Police received a report of three people walking in the street causing a hazardous traffic condition. The people were advised and sent on their way.
3:47 p.m.: A caller reports that her elderly family member is in distress. The family member was treated by Action Ambulance and refused transport.

8:23 p.m.: A woman reported to police that she had a confrontation with the father of her child. She stated she would like to speak with an officer, and was given advice. She will seek a 209A violation at Malden District Court in the morning.
10:12 p.m.: Police stopped a vehicle in question after a report of a possible breaking and entering into the high school. While the vehicle was stopped, youths admitted to being on the roof of the school and toilet papering a tree in the court yard.

Aug. 30
1:01 a.m.: A man reports that the window of his car had been broken. He saw three males run from the area when he went to investigate his car alarm sounding.
10:45 a.m.: Michael P. Chapman, 29, of Heritage Lane in Wakefield was arrested on warrants.
5:07 p.m.: An assault victim was stabbed in the neck area. Medflight transported one to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Read more here.
9:14 p.m.: A caller reported someone possibly living in an abandoned property. Access was gained through the side door, and a walk-through was conducted. Appears as though no one has been taking up the residence.
Aug. 31
1:21 a.m.: A caller reported two suspicious males approximately 300 yards from his residence, described as short males. The men were gone upon arrival.
3:41 a.m.: Police reported to a motor vehicle accident where a car crashed into a telephone pole.
4:57 p.m.: Karyn Ann Zaino, 36, of River Drive in Danvers was arrested on warrants.
8:18 p.m.: Police responded to a crash on North Avenue and Richardson Avenue after a party requested an officer due to the other party not having a license in hand. The other party left the scene as an officer arrived on scene. Police arrested Carol A. Vacca, 60, of Joan Avenue in Stoneham on charges of operating under the influence of liquor (second offense) and leaving the scene of property damage.
