STAMP OUT HUNGER Food Drive is May 11,2024: Most Needed Items

The annual National Association of Letter Carriers’ STAMP OUT HUNGER® Food Drive is on Saturday, May 11, 2024. STAMP OUT HUNGER is the country’s largest one-day food drive, offering one of the easiest ways you can help stock the Wakefield Food Pantry (WFP).

America’s letter carriers will join thousands of volunteers on May 11th to help millions of people struggling with food insecurity throughout the United States, including here in Wakefield. It’s simple to participate. Just leave a bag of non-perishable food items near your mail box at 9:00 a.m. on May 11th. The letter carriers do the rest. They will bring your donation to the WFP where volunteers will sort and stock the donations in our pantry.

The most needed items include:
• Baked Beans
• Beef Stew (canned)
• Cereal (boxed)
• Cookie and cake mix
• Pasta (boxed)
• Pasta sauce (jarred)
• Pasta Meals (i.e Beef-a-Roni)
• Rice-a-Roni
• Rice Pilaf
• Snacks
• Soup (Progresso, Chunky)
• Tea Bags (boxed)
• Tuna (canned)

WFP also requests Health & Beauty Items and Cleaning Supplies.
