Things to Know: Summer Band Starting, Hartshorne House Breakfast
A few news tidbits worth knowing today including: community, schools, arts and business. There's something for everyone!

Here are a few things worth knowing today, Monday, June 4, 2012:
Weather: Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 68 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Arts: The Wakefield Summer Band will begin rehearsals tonight June 4, for the first year of their second decade of providing summer lakeside concerts at the Common Bandstand. Rehearsals will be held most Mondays during the summer at First Parish Congregational Church, adjacent to the bandstand, from 7:30 – 9:00 PM. The first concert of the 2012 season is scheduled for Friday, July 6, with 3 more Friday night concerts in July and August TBA. Community: The Hartshorne House Association is holding its annual breakfast tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. at the , (4 Harrington Ct.). The breakfast will be catered by House Calls Catering. Donation: $12.00 donation for adults, $5 for children ages 7-12, free for children 6 and under. Net proceeds go toward the maintenance and preservation of the historic Hartshorne House, a 1681 landmark. Tickets are available from any H.H. Director, or at the following locations: Realtors, , , Smith’s Drugstore, .

Business: Nazareth Academy in Wakefield is looking for sponsors of all levels for their 3rd Annual Golf Classic that is being held on June 11 at Hillview Country Club in North Reading. You can sponsor a hole, donate raffle items etc., there are many ways to get involved! Nazareth is also still looking for golfers. .
