Things to Know: Farmers' Market, Summer Irish Dancing
A few news tidbits worth knowing today including: community, summer, and volunteer.

Here are a few things worth knowing today, Friday, June 15, 2012:
Weather: Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 74, according to the National Weather Service.
Summer: Looking for a fun activity to do with the kids now that they are home from school? Consider taking them over to the Stone Zoo for the bird show: Masters of Flight: Birds of Prey. The show features more than a dozen different bird species from around the world, including the bald eagle, bateleur eagle, Egyptian vulture, military macaw, spectacled owl and white-necked raven, and is for all ages. Daily show times are 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Volunteer: If you're interested in volunteering at the Wakefield Farmers' Market this year, sign up for their volunteer email list by clicking here. The Farmers' Market is starting even earlier this year, opening up on June 23rd and continuing until Oct. 20th. For the current list of vendors, see here.
Community: Looking to connect with your Irish heritage? Learn about Irish set dancing this summer through a six-week series of beginner's classes to be held at Harrington's at 7:30 p.m. The classes start on June 25th and cost $7 each. All ages are welcome and partners are not required.
