Weather: Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 76 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Government: This weekend, Wakefield Democrats will be among the more than 5,000 delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s Endorsing Convention who will gather on June 2nd in Springfield to award the Party’s endorsement to one of the Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate. The Wakefield delegation contains the following members: Vivian Peterson, Janet Lively, Brendan Connell, James French, Janet Schuchter, Fred Lariccia, Dorothy Halpin, Anthony Guardia, Thomas Markham, Madeline Brown, Greg Liakos, Patricia Doren, and Mary Duggan.

Community: Join the Friends of Fells Annual Meeting tonight, which features a slide presentation by Friends of Fells and Medford Historical Society: How the Lantern Slides of George Davenport helped Create the Fells. The meeting will run from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Oak Grove Village Community Center in Melrose, (12 Island Hill Ave.) The event is free and refreshments will be served.
