Tickets Still Available for One Fund Benefit Concert Tonight

Concert featuring James Massone of Wakefield is 7 p.m. at Galvin Middle School, with proceeds going to help those injured in the Boston Marathon bombings.

While hundreds of tickets have already been sold, there are plenty of great seats left for tonight’s One Fund benefit concert at 7:00 at the Galvin Middle School.  “Our advance ticket sales went well,” said event co-chair, Sandi Falvey.  “We’re expecting a great turnout tonight and want to make sure everyone knows that tickets are $15 at the door and plenty of seats are available.”

James Massone—former contestant on the Voice, and Wakefield resident—will headline the concert and Wakefield High School junior, Natalie Joly, will open for Massone.

“The concert has been well-received,” added co-chair Paula Cameron.  “We encourage kids of all ages and families to join us for a great night of entertainment supporting such an important cause.”  Falvey and Cameron are Wakefield residents who formed a non-profit organization to produce the concert and get their children in Wakefield Public Schools involved in an effort to give back.

P.S. We Care hopes to raise close to $10,000 for the One Fund.  In addition to ticket sales, they are also accepting donations from individuals and businesses.  Whatever they raise, the message of giving back is sure to resonate.  “We’re proud of the work we have put into this,” said Falvey, “and we’re hoping that in addition to a great performance we can make a meaningful contribution to the One Fund.”  With seasoned performers Massone and Joly, the show is sure to be great, and the final contribution depends on how many tickets they sell at the door this evening.
