Town Council Gives Santa The Go-Ahead
Wakefield board also appoints three to Community Branding and Wayfinding Advisory Committee.

Santa Claus is coming to town ... thanks to your Wakefield Town Council.
The council, better know until April as the Board of Selectmen, approved a request from the Wakefield Lions Club to have Santa's headquarters placed on the common this week and until Dec. 23, and to have Santa arrive by fire engine on Dec. 9.

The board voted to add Connor Beebe, Kaitlin Dolan, and Tom Watson to the Community Branding and Wayfinding Advisory Committee, bringing the group's total to 21 members. Thirteen had applied to join the group and the 10 who were not selected will remain candidates should further openings occur.
The sandwich board pilot program was extended until June 1. The sandwich boards will be allowed on Saturdays in the winter as long as snow drifts make walking in the area difficult.

Public hearings were scheduled for Jan. 8 for Harrington's and the Dockside restaurant for alleged infractions and possible discipline.
