The Town of Wakefield is wrapping up its Vision2030 exercise to develop a community vision and values statement. Led by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), and based on community input from 922 online survey responses and approximately 185-195 zoom public workshop participants over the course of three public workshops, the draft of the Vision2030 document is now available for public comment. A brief overview of the document was presented at the October 25 Town Council meeting and the full text is now available.

Community members who would like to submit comments can do so electronically by emailing Community and Economic Development Director Erin Kokinda at ekokinda@wakefield.ma.us and MAPC Principal Planner Carlos Montanez at cmontanez@mapc.org. Non-electronic comments can be submitted to Erin Kokinda at Town Hall, 1 Lafayette Street. Submissions must be received by November 15, 2021. A paper copy of the draft can be provided by request.
