Update: Trees and Limbs Reported Down, Prospect Street House Damaged

There have been reports of trees and limbs down on power lines and structures in Wakefield and other surrounding towns.

The most substantial damage was to a house on Prospect Street, according to Wakefield Fire Captain Paul Pronco.

A t knocked down wires and damaged the roof and exterior of the house. The power was cut to the house, and a tree service was called in to remove the tree, according to Pronco.

There were scattered reports of limbs down, but Pronco said the fire department did not run into any other major problems this morning.

More rain, hail, and thunderstorms are predicted for later this afternoon and evening.
