Valerie Giglio to be VIP at the Blossoms at the Beebe on April 28th

Wakefield native Valerie Giglio, attorney, musician and author will be the featured VIP at the 11th annual Blossoms at the Beebe, an event to benefit the Lucius Beebe Memorial Library and the Wakefield Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce. The adult-only event will be held on Saturday evening, April 28th at the Library, 345 Main Street, Wakefield from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
In addition to being the guest speaker at the sponsor reception before the event, Valerie will sign copies of Singing In My Own Key: A Vocalist's Triumph Over Stroke, the story of her miraculous journey to overcoming paralysis, regaining her singing voice, and returning to the stage just one year after suffering a catastrophic stroke at the age of 42. Attendees can purchase a book at the event.
A graduate of Wakefield High School, Attorney Valerie Giglio holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Salem State University and a Juris Doctor from New England School of Law. She is a founding partner of Giglio and Samson, Attorneys at Law, a firm she established with her husband, Attorney Mark Samson, in Stoneham, and has been admitted to the Bar in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States District Court, District of Massachusetts; and the United States Supreme Court. She is also a member of the Boston Bar Association.

She is a voting member of The Recording Academy (Grammys); the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP); The Audiobook Publisher's Association (APA), and she maintains an independent record label and music publishing company (Palma Records and Valmark Publishing).
As a solo artist, Valerie remains very active in the music industry and continues to perform locally throughout the New England area and internationally. She is working on several musical projects and collaborates and/or performs with other artists on a regular basis.

In addition to the book signing, Blossoms at the Beebe will feature a Sixties theme. The evening will include a flower show; special musical entertainment and dancing featuring Rule of 3 on the lobby level, and Joe Greaney on the lower level; gourmet hors d'oeuvres; a silent auction; a cash bar featuring a signature drink which reflects the evening’s theme; a photo booth and a casino room.
Proceeds from the event support Library services, cultural events and the many Chamber projects that enhance the civic and economic life of the communities.
This adult-only, 21 years-of-age and over event is always a sell-out, according to Blossoms at the Beebe Chair Susan Wetmore. Tickets are now available and can be purchased in person at the Beebe Library Reference Desk or online at www.blossomsatbeebe.com for $40 per person.
