Wakefield Boy's Hoops Earn First-Round Bye

WAKEFIELD, MA—The Wakefield Warriors have earned a first-round bye in the Division 2 North MIAA basketball tournament, and are now set to make a run at the tournament crown.

The Warriors will take on No. 8 Beverly in the first round of the tournament, earning a bye from the preliminary round. The game is set for Mar. 1 at 7 p.m. at Beverly.

The lady Warriors will take on No. 3 Arlington Catholic at 7 p.m. at Woburn High School.

Salem earned the division’s top seed with an 18-2 record.
