Wakefield Chief Named VP of International Police Association

Wakefield Police Chief Richard Smith was selected as the Vice President of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) at this week’s conference in Chicago.

Chief Smith began this endeavor over a year ago, traveling around the country sharing his passion for policing and working to strengthen the ties between communities and their police departments.

Representatives from the Wakefield Police Department said that this is a tremendous honor for the Department to have its leader on an international stage representing the best interests of police officers around the world.
