Wakefield Farmers Market Opens Summer Season Saturday

Beautiful weather forecast for first farmers market of 2019.

WAKEFIELD, Ma. - Sunny skies and warm temps will welcome Saturday's opening of the 2019 season of the Wakefield Farmers Market. The season begins at its Hall Park location on the shores of Lake Quannapowitt and will take place each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., from June 15 through October 12. The Wakefield Farmers Market has been a summer fixture since its first season in 2009.

There is a total of 41 vendors this year with an average of 22 vendors each week, plus live music, a nonprofit guest, and occasional special guests and special events. While Flats Mentor Farm will not be starting until July, all the farmers except for West River Creamery and Ackermann Maple Farm, which will attend mostly biweekly, will be with us each week. Aaronap Cellars, and Pony Shack Cider will round out our number of Agricultural vendors to 9.

The Wakefield Independence Day Committee will be a nonprofit guest during the first two market days. Be sure to stop by to learn how to support Wakefield’s annual parade that the committee organizes as part of the town’s July 4th celebration, and meet some of the people who make it all happen.
