1 Dead After Overnight Wakefield Fire
Reports say a body was found on the second floor of a multi-family home on Water Street.
WAKEFIELD, MA — An elderly woman is dead following an overnight two-alarm fire in Wakefield. Crews responded to the blaze at 123 Water Street shortly before midnight and quickly knocked it down.
Reports say the body of a 71-year-old woman was found on the second floor of the multi-family home. Several other residents were displaced by the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
