About the only thing that hasn't gone right for the Wakefield girls' basketball team recently is that pesky TV. While they've been making shots, no one from the stands has come down and hit a shot to win a free 60-inch Samsung TV. Sometimes you just can't give things away.
Wednesday night in Woburn the Warriors will try and do a better job shooting than their fans and beat Hamilton-Wenham in the Division 2 North semifinals. The game starts at 7 p.m. The two teams met in the regular season final with Wakefield winning, 55-46.
Wakefield is 17-4 after beating Tewksbury in the quarterfinals, 53-43. Hamilton-Wenham is 14-8 after knocking off defending EMass champion Watertown in the quarterfinals, 46-43. Should Wakefield win, they'll play Saturday in the North final against the winner of the other semifinal between Belmont vs. Arlington Catholic.
