Among the updates National Grid notes this week:
- Broadway: Contractors will be moving from the MBTA crossing toward Foundry Street.
- Through-traffic will be restricted to residential, business-related, and emergency traffic.
- Businesses within the closure area will remain open during construction.
- Salem Street: Construction crews expect to finish the section of Salem Street between Tobey Lane and Grand Passway; Work continues on Salem Street between Patriot Circle and Houston Street.
- No through-traffic, emergency, and residential vehicle access only.
- Montrose Avenue: Duct-bank installation continues between Whittier Road and the driveway to National Grid’s Wakefield Junction Substation.
- No through-traffic, emergency, and residential vehicles access only.

As part of their ongoing effort to complete work as safely and as efficiently as possible, construction crews may extend their work at certain work sites through close of business on Saturdays.
