Wakefield Native Joins Cleveland Browns Practice Squad
The former Wakefield and Harvard standout was one of four players added to the Browns practice squad Thursday.

WAKEFIELD, MA — A Wakefield native has joined the practice squad of the Cleveland Browns, the team announced Tuesday.
Anthony Fabiano was one of four players signed to the Browns' practice squad Tuesday to complete the squad. The NFL rookie from Wakefield went un-drafted in the 2016 NFL Draft and signed with the Baltimore Ravens, but was waived on Aug. 19.
Fabiano was a standout at Wakefield Memorial High School before heading to Harvard to play his collegiate ball. Fabiano started 11 games for Harvard at left tackle, ten at right guard, seven at left guard and one game at right tackle.

Fabiano graduated from Wakefield Memorial High School in 2011. The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame (Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter) announced Fabiano as one of its scholar-athlete award recipients in 2011.
