In the report, Chief Richard Smith noted several major arrests that were made in August.
Smith also praised some of the department’s work with the community.
“During the month of August, our Northeast Vocational School Resource Officer Mike Pietrantonio worked with Catherine Dhingra from WAKE-UP on several youth initiatives, including drug and alcohol issues as well as the trespassing situation at 11 Mansion Road,” Smith stated. “This partnership between WAKE-UP and our School Resource Officers, our Family Services Officer, as well as our CIT program has been extremely valuable and will continue as we move forward in the area of drug and alcohol awareness, education, and treatment.”
