Among the updates National Grid notes this week:
- Crews have completed 50 percent of the duct bank installation for the project in Wakefield.
- Water Street: Crews continue excavation and duct bank installation near the intersection of Water Street and Vernon Street.
- Two-way traffic facilitated by a police detail.
- Broadway: National Grid contractors are working with the Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Department near the Foundry Street intersection.
- Through-traffic will be restricted to residential, business-related, and emergency traffic.
- Businesses within the closure area will remain open during construction.
- Montrose Avenue: Excavation and duct-bank installation continues.
- No through-traffic during work hous; emergency and residential vehicle access only.
- Construction crews plan to extend their work at certain work sites through close of business on Saturday, September 19.
