Wakefield Resident Named National Merit Commended Student

Megan Samuelrich of Wakefield, a senior at Commonwealth School in Boston, has been named a commended student in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Seventeen Commonwealth students were commended; adding the three who were named as National Merit Semifinalists in September, 51% of Commonwealth’s seniors have been recognized by the program this year. The competition is based on scores in the PSAT/NMSQT standardized test.

Commonwealth School is an independent, coed, day school with 145 students in grades 9 to 12. Located in Boston’s Back Bay, the school is built on intellectual curiosity, a faculty of talented and supportive teachers, and a diverse community that recognizes the importance of each individual.
