Wakefield Rotary Has Fun with Halloween

Club has fun with spooky holiday

The Wakefield Rotary Club certainly enjoys the occasional themed party. This year at the club’s Halloween Party, co-hosts Jay Curley and Amy Luckiewicz invited members to dress up and enjoy some haunted games. After the weekly lunch, participants and guests gathered to play Match-the-Phobia, Candy Slogans and more, all for fun Halloween-themed prizes. Club President Wendy Maguire noted, “It’s important that we’re not all business all the time. We definitely love to plan and execute service projects, but our club loves the camaraderie and friendships we make too. These themed days really help with that.”

About Rotary International & Wakefield Rotary Club

Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 1.2 million Rotarians in 160 countries worldwide. The first Rotary Club was founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1905 by an attorney named Paul Harris and several of his colleagues. The name “Rotary” was derived from the early practice of rotating meetings among each of the members’ offices. The Rotary motto is “Service above self”. The Wakefield Rotary Club meets each Tuesday at noon at Brightview on Crescent Street.
