Wakefield Sons and Daughters of Italy Announce ‘50+1’ Gala Event

The community is invited to celebrate their Golden Anniversary

The Wakefield Sons and Daughters of Italy reached their Golden Anniversary milestone…last year! Wakefield Lodge 1734 was established in 1968, and has been meeting and making memories ever since. Rather than let this momentous occasion slip by unnoticed, they are having a '50 +1' Gala to celebrate.

Members of the community are invited to attend the Gala scheduled for Saturday November 16, 2019. You don’t have to be from Wakefield. You don’t have to be Italian. Our members come from all of the surrounding towns, and we welcome anyone who wants to celebrate with us!

The Gala will be held in Wakefield at St. Joseph’s Church Hall, 173 Albion Street. A reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Laurie’s 909 will be cooking up Carved Ribeye, Chicken Braciolettini, and Ricotta Gnocchi. A Venetian table of treats will complete the dinner. Although a good meal alone can lead to a good time, this event will also include dancing to the music of DJ Brendan Donahue.
