Wakefield Sons & Daughters of Italy Are Planning the Annual Auction
You'll want to "Save the Date!"
We are excited to announce that our 13th Annual Charity Auction will be held on Tuesday, April 18th at St. Joseph’s Church hall. As in the past, the night will include dinner, dessert, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. We will also be featuring donated items from our favorite local businesses and our (infamous) auction of mystery items donated by Lodge members.
You’ll want to save the date, because we have commitments from many generous businesses and individuals already. Last year, one favorite activity auctioned off was a private boat ride for up to 15 people out of Gloucester. So, talk to your friends and pool your resources to win a fun time on the ocean.
In addition, our friends at Mel and Sons have donated $500 in home heating oil! Mary Kay rep Cheryl Carroll is putting together some fun items, as is Future of Dentistry, and A Balanced Self of Wakefield. Local favorites, DiCara’s Deli and Calaresso’s Farm Stand of Reading and North Ave Diner of Wakefield have promised gift cards. Two “Italian” businesses, Pastene Pasta and Fabrizia Lemon Baking Company will be donating some of their fine products.

Laurie’s 9:09 (now open as a restaurant once again) will be sharing an auction item. Impress Graphics of Woburn will be providing some Wakefield gear once again. The Hanover Theatre of Worcester is offering two 4-ticket bundles to upcoming shows.
With food, fun activities, gift baskets, household items and gift certificates, we believe there will be something for every bidder.

As in the past, proceeds will go to causes like the Wakefield Food Pantry, Wakefield Senior Center, Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield and Stoneham, Alzheimer’s research, Foster Kids of Merrimack Valley, Cooley’s Anemia Foundation, and The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. The Lodge gives scholarships every year to high school seniors of Italian descent, as well.
