The Wakefield Sons & Daughters of Italy Are Planning Fun Events

Monthly meetings return after a break.

After taking a winter break from monthly meetings, the Lodge will gather on March 10, at the West Side Social Club. Earlier this year, some members enjoyed activities hosted by neighboring lodges and/or the Grand Lodge Cultural Commission. For example, there was a virtual book club meeting to discuss the book Dark Tide by local author (historian, public speaker and teacher), Stephen Puleo. January marked the 107th anniversary at the tragic molasses flood in the North End, which is the topic of the book.

Here's some exciting news: the Wakefield Lodge will be hosting Stephen Puleo as a speaker in Wakefield on May 12. This event will be available to other lodges and the public so everyone can hear from this remarkable expert in Boston history. More details will be shared soon.

At the March meeting, we look forward to hearing what other fun social events our committee has planned for 2026. As always, we will recognize new members, birthdays, anniversaries, and accomplishments.
