Also in April, former Melrose Lodge President John Tramontozzi donated a box of cookbooks which were developed by Lodge members. These books are filled with traditional family recipes, and maybe even a secret ingredient or two. Members baked or shared their favorite Italian cookies and pastries for after the ceremonies. As always, there isn’t a meeting that doesn’t involved food in one way or more.

Mark your calendars for October 24. We are bringing in Ciao Italia star Maryann Esposito as a speaker, including Q&A, and book signing. This event will be open to the public for a small charge. Maryann has the longest running cooking show on PBS. More to come on that topic as it gets closer.

We are thrilled to share that our Charity Auction was a tremendous success. Also, scholarship recipients were selected and will be awarded at a ceremony in May. Look for more details on both of these topics soon.
