Wakefield Student that Fell out of Bus Suffers Minor Injuries
School officials are ruling out that the bus was overcrowded.

WAKEFIELD, MA — A Galvin Middle School student suffered minor injuries Wednesday after falling out of the back of a school bus as it pulled out of the Dolbeare School driveway, the Wakefield Public Schools announced.
On Wednesday, school officials announced through Facebook that the student fell out of the rear door of the bus as it pulled on to the street. The student was alert and responsive as medical personnel arrived on scene.
An update released Thursday that the student sustained minor injuries, and is "recovering well today."

Officials have ruled out overcrowding of the bus as a factor in the incident, and reported that the "bus was less than half full." The incident is under a "comprehensive investigation," and the bus has been taken out of service.
