Wakefielders Achieve Various Academic Distinctions
Congratulations to the following town residents on their respective college graduations, honor rolls and other accomplishments this spring.

The following Wakefield residents graduated or achieved other academic distinctions at their respective colleges and universities this spring:

- Rev. Augustine Kelly, O.S.B., dean of the college, announces the following students that were named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2013 semester at Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH.
Jeffrey P. Laskey, of Wakefield, a Politics major and a member of the class of 2014.
Lauren A. Marsden, of Wakefield, a Nursing major and a member of the class of 2014.
Caroline E. Pinette, of Wakefield, a Nursing major and a member of the class of 2014.
Mary C. Hudson, of Wakefield, a Nursing major and a member of the class of 2015.
Leah O. Merullo, of Wakefield, a History major and a member of the class of 2015.
- Saint Anselm College celebrated it's 120th Commencement Exercises on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Local graduates include the following students:
Andraya J. Carmilia-Smith, of Wakefield, a Nursing major.
Taylor M. O'Donnell, of Wakefield, a Natural Sciences major.
- Local residents were among the 512 undergraduates and 162 graduate students who received a diploma at two separate commencement ceremonies at Merrimack College recently. This was the first time a separate commencement was held to accommodate the growing number of Masters Degree students at the College.
Raymond Elcewicz of Wakefield earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Education.
Elizabeth Barile of Wakefield earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics .
Ashley Bock of Wakefield earned a Master of Education in Education .
Jennifer Lepore of Wakefield earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development .
Alyssa Rollins of Wakefield earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration .
Catherine Russo of Wakefield earned a Master of Education in Education.
Laura Spang of Wakefield earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science.
- Celeste P. Rodman of Wakefield received a BS degree in Community & International Development within the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences during commencement ceremonies on May 19, 2013 at the University of Vermont.
- The following local residents were inducted into the Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society at Stonehill College.
Wakefield resident Stephanie LeSaffre, a member of the Stonehill Class of 2014.
Wakefield resident Stephanie Rizzo, a member of the Stonehill Class of 2015.
- Kelly McDonough of Wakefield graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Quinnipiac University during the 82nd Undergraduate Commencement held May 19.
- Matthew Hurton, a resident of Wakefield, was among over 900 students from Providence College who received undergraduate degrees during the College's Ninety-Fifth Commencement Exercises held on Sunday, May 19, 2013. Hurton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Biology.
- Keene State College has released the Dean's List for the spring semester 2013. Among the 1,321 students named to the Dean's List are:

- The following Wakefield residents were awarded degrees during Salve Regina University's 63rd commencement on Sunday, May 19:
Nicholas P. Dettorre of Wakefield, Mass. was awarded a bachelor of science degree in Accounting.
Marisa Gale Martino of Wakefield, Mass. was awarded a bachelor of science degree in Information Systems Management.
- Bryant University held its 150th Commencement on Saturday, May 18. Among the graduates is Michael Justin Tagliaferro of Wakefield, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Marketing Cum Laude
- Saturday, May 11, Keene State College's Commencement honored its biggest-ever graduating class. A total of 1,219 degrees were awarded to 1,146 students.
- This year's graduates included the following local students:
Jessica Fiorenza of Wakefield earned a BS, Cum Laude.
Haley Chandler of Wakefield earned a BS, BA, Magna Cum Laude.
Emily Fosnock of Wakefield earned a BS.
- Kolbe F. Wolfe of Wakefield, MA, graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in political science from DeSales University on Saturday, May 18, 2013.

- Wakefield resident Lisa DeGuglielmo, a member of the Stonehill College Class of 2013, was inducted into the Alpha Mu Alpha Honor Society.
- The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is pleased to announce that Suzanne Tassinari of Wakefield, Mass., was recently initiated into Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Tassinari was initiated at Salem State University.
- Andraya Carmilia-Smith, of Wakefield, a nursing graduate from Saint Anselm College, received a Saint Anselm College nurse's pin at the 2013 pinning ceremony in the Abbey Church on April 27.
