Wakefield's Wensley earns Wrestling Honors At WPI

Wakefield's Daniel Wensley was recognized by the New England Wrestling Association following his 2016-17 campaign at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Wrestling at 184 pounds, Wensley was named All-NEWA honorable mention. The sophomore went 14-8 this winter after returning from an injury that kept him out first semester. He earned a spot on the NEWA Dual Meet Championship Team as the Crimson and Gray reached the semifinals for the first time in program history. Wensley, a sophomore, was also named Academic All-NEWA.

To make Academic All-NEWA a WPI wrestler must have been a major contributor to the team and have over a 3.00 GPA.
