WMGLD Board of Light Commissioners recently reorganized

The Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department Board of Light Commissioners recently reorganized, electing Jennifer Kallay as Chair and Jack Warchol as Secretary at its first meeting of the 2018-2019 term. During the meeting, the Board also accepted the resignation of Commissioner Bill Boodry, thanking him for his service to the WMGLD.

As a result of this vacancy on the Board of Light Commissioners, the Wakefield Town Council and Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department Board are accepting applications to fill the position. The successful applicant will be selected at a joint meeting of the Wakefield Town Council and WMGLD Board of Light Commissioners on Monday, July 16, 2018. The successful candidate will fill the unexpired term until the Spring 2019 Town election. This position is to be appointed jointly by the Board of Commissioners and the Wakefield Town Council.

The WMGLD Board of Light Commissioners meets monthly and sets policy for the operation of the department which is executed by the General Manager.
