Your Next Shot At Free TV? Tuesday At Wakefield High Girls' Game

There were no winners of Samsung TV Friday. That means you've got another shot.

Maybe you'd like a new television but couldn't make it to last Friday's Wakefield High School basketball doubleheader. There's still hope. Because no one made a shot the TV is still up for grabs. Your next opportunity to win the 60-inch flat screen Samsung Smart TV is Tuesday when the Wakefield girls host Burlington at 6 p.m.

With no extra effort, no extra purchase other than your game ticket, one lucky fan could go home with a new Samsung TV, donated by Boston Appliance in Woburn.

According to Wakefield athletic director Brendan Kent, there were a few close calls Friday.

"We had a bunch of contestants come close, but no one won it. It was kind of funny, the contestants that came the closest each game were the youngest. It was a lot of fun, and definitely got the fans excited. We are going to carry the contest over into the next game, until someone wins. Next game, we are going to make it a little easier. We are going to add 15 more seconds at halftime. So we will give contestants 45 seconds to get a layup, free throw, three pointer, and half court shot."

Sounds like a piece of cake. But if Tuesday doesn't work and you want to roll the dice that no one will win your next chance will be Thursday at 6 against Watertown and then the following Monday at 6:340 in a game against Tewksbury. Someone has to win. Why not you?
