June is "Lemonade for the Fireworks" Month!
Starting June 1st, the Walpole Recreation Department is launching "Lemonade for the Fireworks" month!

The Night Before the 4th Fireworks celebration, held on July 3rd, is a long-standing tradition in Walpole. Thousands of people gather to watch an incredible fireworks display and show their patriotic pride. What many people don't know about this great night is that it is not funded by the Walpole Town budget. The event is made possible by donations, and every year its a struggle to raise enough to make the fireworks happen. Starting June 1st, the Walpole Recreation Department is launching "Lemonade for the Fireworks" month. We are asking that families and groups set up Lemonade Stands around town during June, and donate the proceeds to the Fireworks Fund. Let us know where you are going to be, either by phone (508 660-6353) or posting on our Facebook wall..and we'll do our best to get the word out. Last year, we had a great response and we are hoping that even more groups will jump on the band wagon!
