T-Shirts on Sale to benefit the Night Before the 4th Fireworks Fund at Blackburn Hall

The Night Before the 4th Fireworks on July 3rd are a great night in Walpole, with thousands of people flooding into Walpole to take in the show. They are treated to a fantastic Fire Truck Parade, music, concessions selling food & drink, and then the finale..a spectacular Fireworks show. Its an "old-school" display of patriotic pride, and its been a tradition in Walpole for many years. What a lot of people don't know about the Fireworks is that they are not put on with "town" funds. Donations pay for the Fireworks, and members of the Walpole Fire Department donate their time that night. The Recreation Department is proud to a part of this fundraising effort, and the selling of T-shirts has always been a popular way of raising funds. The 2013 "I Make Fireworks Happen" T-shirts are available at Blackburn Hall for a donation of $25.00 to the Fireworks Fund. The office is open Monday, Wed, Thurs and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. Call the office with any questions at 508-660-6353.
