The 1st Annual Walpole Awards are coming up!

The Recreation Department is very excited to debut the 1st Annual Walpole Awards - the WALLYS - on Saturday, March 9th.  The party will be held at Conrad's in downtown Walpole.  The Wallys evolved from Walpole Day, which will be held on Saturday, May 18th. We wanted a way to honor the businesses, organizations, and individuals that go out of their way to contribute to the community.  This party is also a fundraiser - we are raising money to expand our Teen programs.  Kids that hit the teen years need somewhere to go, and something to do! This keeps them safe, busy and happy. A goal of the Rec. Department is to purchase a van to be used for social trips as well as community service outings. 

The party should be a lot of fun! We are expecting a big turn-out. Conrad's is going to be decked out in BLUE, the theme color of the Wallys!  The Silent Auction items are great, and we also have a Grand Prize Raffle of a weekend away at the Dan'l Webster Inn on Cape Cod. There will also be a cash bar and D.J. music. Get a group together and join us for a good time.   Tickets can be purchased at walpolerec.com or at Blackburn Hall during Rec. Dept. business hours.
