Five Arrested in Early Morning Walpole Raid

Police executed a search warrant during the overnight hours.

WALPOLE, MA — Five people face charges following a raid at a Walpole home early Thursday morning.

At about 4:30 a.m., members of the MetroLEC SWAT team, NORPAC drug task force, and Walpole Police Department executed a search warrant at a home on Norfolk Street. During the search, police seized fentanyl pills, other opioids, four long guns and ammunition, according to the Walpole Police Department

During the raid, five people were taken into custody. All five were arraigned in Wrentham District Court Thursday.

Below are the charges and the result of the arraignments, according to the Norfolk County district attorney's office. All five men pleaded not guilty to the charges and are due back in court April 25 for pre-trial conferences.

  • Francis Keegan, Jr.52, of Walpole - Charged with being present where heroin is kept, possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, distribution of Class A drug, conspiracy to violate drug law, possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute and trafficking over 10 grams of Fentanyl. Ordered held on $5,000 bail. Should he post bail, must remain drug free and submit testing.
  • David Curran, 63, no address listed - Charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug law and being present where heroin is kept. He was ordered held on $1,000 bail. If he posts bail, he must remain drug free and submit to random
  • Christopher Punis, 48, of Walpole - Charged with being present where heroin is kept, possession of a firearm without an FID card and possession of ammunition without an FID card. He was ordered held on $1,000 bail.
  • Randolph Beardsley, 64, of Walpole - Charged with being present where heroin is kept, possession of a Class C drug and possession of a Class B drug. He was ordered held on $500 bail
  • Nicholas Bonfilio, 26, of Walpole - Charged with being present where heroin is kept and possession of a Class B drug. He was released on personal recognizance and transported on Dedham District Court to answer a probation warrant.
