Home sweet sustainable home. Free panel presentation February 18, 7-8:30 p.m. at Norfolk Public Library.

Looking to be a better steward of the environment? Want to decrease your dependency on oil and gas? Ready to reduce your carbon footprint?

A free panel discussion will address how to go green and improve your home’s energy efficiency – whether you are planning a major home renovation or just add some sustainable energy or environmental friendly elements.

The free panel presentation is set for Thursday, February 18, 7-8:30 p.m. at the Norfolk Public Library, 139 Main Street, Norfolk, MA. Light refreshments will be served.

Panelists includes Jason Herzog of BKA Architects, based in Brockton, MA and with a special focus on green design; Herb Rice of Home Energy Raters located in Sagamore Beach MA and helping builders and homeowners select energy efficient building materials and renewable energy systems; and Bisher Hashem of Boyde’s Crossing, a environmentally-sensitive community scheduled for occupancy this spring and located within walking distance to Norfolk center and the train station.
