The Junior Woman’s Club of Walpole (JWCW) begins another year of servicing the local
community on Wednesday, Sept. 19th at its first meeting of the season. The meeting is being
held at Conrad’s, 907 Main St. Walpole, in the function room beginning at 7:30pm. In addition,
this year the JWCW is inviting all interested potential new members to come to a meet & greet
with JWCW club members before the official meeting from 6:30pm -7:30pm. Light appetizers
will be served and existing club members will be available to meet and chat with.
Chartered in 1988, the JWCW is a service organization of more than 50 volunteer women dedicated to
the betterment of the Town of Walpole and its surrounding area. They strive to provide a variety of
charitable, educational, social and cultural projects and programs that enhance the lives of our
community and beyond. In addition, it provides members an opportunity to work and socialize with
women who have similar goals and interests. They meet once a month from September through May.
Members come from all parts of the community and they are always looking for new members who are
interested in becoming part of a great team of hardworking and dedicated women, while having fun.
There are many opportunities to participate, and the extent of your involvement is up to you. The JWCW
supports over 30 local and national charities and organizations, including: Breaking Bread, Walpole Food
Pantry, Walpole Coalition for Drug and Alcohol Awareness, Walpole Veterans Committee, Habitat for
Humanity and the American Cancer Society, to name just a few.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please join them on Wednesday, Sept 19th at Conrad’s.
There is no cost to attend, but if you do decide to join there is a small annual due. The only requirement
is that you must be 18 years or older. By becoming a member you will be joining an amazing group of
women who make a difference in our community every day. It’s a great opportunity to meet
extraordinary people and have fun while paying it forward. Become part of something great! For more
