New Pond Village Named a Boston Magazine Top Senior Living Community for Third Year
Award-winning living rooted in connection, care, and community

Ask anyone at New Pond Village what makes the community a Boston Magazine Top Senior Living community and they’ll likely say the same thing, “it’s the people!”
For the third year in a row New Pond Village has made the list, which is based on communities’ federal and state regulatory ratings, online reviews, and positive public perception. Set on the banks of Willet Pond in the heart of Walpole, Mass., New Pond Village is a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) that offers retirees the full continuum of care, concierge services, and an engaging, vibrant lifestyle.
“Being here, we feel so well taken care of,” said resident Charlie Peck who moved to the community with his wife Steffi two years ago. The couple likes that they never have to think of clearing their cars of snow or finding something interesting to do. “There’s never a dull moment,” noted Steffi, with Charlie adding, “The outstanding thing about this place is the people. Not just the people who run it, it’s the people who are here.”

New Pond Village is known for its warm, friendly atmosphere, beautiful grounds, and exquisite dining. Residents can travel to Boston for cultural experiences, or they can stay engaged on campus with gardening, painting, music clubs, and much more. New Pond Village is the place for pet owners – it enthusiastically welcomes four-legged residents, too.
“We’re a very friendly and upbeat community,” says Campus Executive Director Adam Manchester, “and I think the pets we have here are a big part of that. Even those who don’t own a pet make a connection with our resident animals when they’re greeted in the hallway by a wagging tail.”

The interest in New Pond Village has led to an exciting development for the community—its first major expansion since opening more than 30 years ago. A groundbreaking later this year will make way for 39 new apartment homes and added amenities for all to enjoy, including a pool and expanded dining and fitness options.
With New Pond Village’s Premier Access Club, future residents on the waitlist can attend community events, enjoy meals on campus, and even spend a night in one of the guest rooms, taking advantage of the best the community has to offer before even moving in. “It’s a very comfortable place with lots of good people,” said resident Celeste Hurley, an avid painter who’s lived at New Pond Village for six years. Simply put, “We enjoy each other.”
