Pedestrian Struck by Truck on Route 1
A helicopter is on the Walpole Town Common to take the victim to a hospital.

WALPOLE, MA — A person was flown to the hospital following an incident on Route 1.
At about 4:50 p.m., a 30-year-old woman walking north on the southbound side of Route 1 near Coney Street was hit by a tractor-trailer truck. The victim, who suffered serious injuries, was transported to the Walpole Town Common, where she was transported to Boston Medical Center by helicopter.

The area between the Walpole Mall and Walmart was closed for about an hour before it reopened at 6 p.m.

The truck was operated by a New Jersey resident for H&S Enterprises of New Jersey.
The crash is under police investigation.
