SUPER TUESDAY: Trump, Sanders Take Walpole

Results from the polls in Walpole are in.

WALPOLE, MA - Voters in Walpole hit the polls Tuesday during the Super Tuesday presidential primary, deciding who they want to be the Democratic and Republican candidates for president.

On the Democratic side, Bernie Sanders edged Hillary Clinton 2,098-2,066, according to the Associated Press' vote tracker. On the Republican side, Walpole went with the state, giving Donald Trump over 45 percent of the vote.

Turnout was 48.36 percent.

  • Clinton: 2,066, 48.49%

  • Trump: 1,805, 45.11%
  • Rubio: 844, 21.09%
  • Kasich: 810, 20.24%
  • Cruz: 339, 8.47%
  • Carson: 72, 1.8%
