Walpole Man Charged With Motor Vehicle Homicide After Fatal Accident
The man was charged with drunk driving for the fourth time.

A 42-year-old Walpole man was charged with motor vehicle homicide and drunk driving after a one-car accident on Enneking Parkway in Hyde Park early Saturday morning.
State Police responded to the scene of a one-car rollover accident. Police said Jeffrey Mason, 42, of Walpole, was driving the 2003 Honda Accord when he lost control of the vehicle near the intersection of the Turtle Pond Parkway. The female passenger in the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are withholding her identity until family is notified.
Mason was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor (fourth offense), motor vehicle homicide, negligently operating a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury, speeding and a marked lanes violation.

He was taken to Brigham and Women’s Hospital and is being monitored by State Police troopers. He is to be arraigned on Monday morning.
State Police closed Enneking Parkway until 5 a.m. for crash reconstruction and cleanup. State Police are investigating the crash.
