THOMAS VERROCHI
Thomas Verrochi, Jr. age 84 years died in the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Born in Walpole, Massachusetts on November 16, 1927, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Romanelli) Verrochi. He graduated from Walpole High School with the class of 1945 and from the Norfolk County Agricultural School with the class of 1946. He has been a lifelong resident of East Walpole, Massachusetts.

Mr. Verrochi helped his son, Tom, establish his business T.D. Verrochi, Inc, a masonary company. He was part owner of Gilmore’s in Walpole for 20 years, and operated his own machine shop, TEPCO for 5 years.
He was an avid reader of history and enjoyed gardening, landscaping, and being a handyman. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, as the head of the Verrochi family, he enjoyed having everyone in his home.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Dorothy P. (Trank) Verrochi. Loving father of Donna M. and her husband John Pesce of N. Attleboro, Katherine V. and her husband Jerry Durante of Walpole, and Thomas D. and his wife Karen Verrochi of Foxboro. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Jennifer, Thomas, Mark, Andrea, and Nicholas. Great grandfather of Maylin and JohnPatrick. Brother of Edward R. Verrochi, Sr, of East Walpole, Arthur Verrochi of Walpole, Paul Verrochi of East Walpole and the late Albert Verrochi.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Saint Mary's Church 176 Washington Street East Walpole on Monday, June 25, 2012. Arrangments were handed by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment was in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. RITA L. (CONTY) LAMOTHE
Rita L. (Conty) Lamothe age 80 years died in the Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday, June 18, 2012. Born in Waltham, Massachusetts on July 6, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Louis A. Conti and Helen Mary (Brennan) Conty. She graduated from Waltham High School with the class of 1949 and from the Carney Hospital School of Nursing with the class of 1952. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1964 moving there from Newton.
She worked as a registered nurse for 42 years. She worked in the Waltham Hospital, the Newton Wellesley Hospital, the Norwood Hospital, and several elder care facilities.
Mrs. Lamothe was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Church Prayer Group and ran the Baptism Program for 10 years. She was also a member of the Italian American Club Exercise Group, the Local Red Hat Society, and traveled with the Wacky Women’s Club in Norwood.
She enjoyed tending to her flower garden and was a life long Johnny Mathis fan.
Beloved wife of the late Roger M. Lamothe. Loving mother of Mark J. and his wife Gail Lamothe of Beverly, Marie J. and her husband Joseph Bagarella of North Attleboro, David P. and his wife Nok Lamothe of Wilmington, and Peter T. Lamothe of Hamden, CT. Cherished grandmother of Owen, Alise, Isabella, Angeline, Kathryn, Julia, Teresa, Joseph, Megan and her husband Scott, Faith, and Michael. Sister of Helen Boudrot of Gainesville, GA, the late Robert J. Conty, and the late Raymond Conty.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on Friday, June 22, 2012. Arrangements were made by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment was in Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Rita to the MGH Chaplaincy Development. VELMA JEAN (MARINELLI) ROSSI
Velma Jean (Marinelli) Rossi age 85 years died in the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, Massachusetts on Friday, June 8, 2012.
Born in Keisterville, Pennsylvania on April 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Leone) Marinelli. She graduated from Uniontown High School in Pennsylvania with the class of 1944. She has been a resident of Walpole, Massachusetts since 1946.
Mrs Rossi was a homemaker for all of her adult life, devoting her life to her family.
Loving mother of Christine Fuller of FL, Cynthia Richmond of Worcester, Thomas Rossi of Franklin, Jean Ziemba of NY, Renny Rossi of Stoughton, Suzanne Lynch of Gardner, Rena Desmond of Norfolk. Cherished grandmother of 23 and great grandmother of 10. Sister of Arthur H. Marinelli of Walpole.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Saint Jude’s Church 86 Main Street Norfolk on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 10AM. Arrangements were handled by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. Interment will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center 90 Taunton Street Wrentham, Massachusetts 02093.
JOHN "JACK" W. HINDS
John “Jack” W. Hinds, 79 of Middleboro died June 4, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. John was born on September 23, 1932 in Medford, MA. He was the son of Edith Hinds and the late Edward H. Hinds. John proudly served his country in Korea with his brother Edward Hinds. He served in the United States Air Force from 1952-1956.
He worked as a millwright and rigger for 25 years, most notably for E.H. Hinds. Then he worked for the Town of Walpole in the high school and police department before he retired and moved to Middleboro.
Mr. Hinds was very active in the Walpole community, especially in the local sports. He was involved in Pop Warner League and one of his proudest moments was donating and installing the bleachers next to the football field.
He met his wife Mary Alice (Cormier) Hinds in high school and they married in July 17, 1954. Together they had five children; Cindy, Cheryl, Johnny, Peggy, and Eddie.
Mr. Hinds was an avid reader of history, especially war novels. But his most cherished time was spent with his loving family. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. He was very supportive in their interests and activities.
He is survived by his wife Mary Alice (Cormier) Hinds and his three children; his daughter Cindy (Hinds) Croft and her husband Edward of Lakeville; his son John Hinds and his partner Marie O’Quinn of Lebanon, NH; his daughter Peggy (Hinds) Fitzgerald and her husband Paul of E. Taunton; his mother Edith Hinds of Middleboro; brother Edward Hinds of Middleboro; sister Edith Hinds of Guilford, NH; sister Doris (Hinds) Timmons and her husband Don of Windham, NH; as well as seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in Blessed Sacrament Church East Street (Route 27) at Diamond Street Walpole on June 9. Interment was private. Arrangments were handed by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole.

JONATHAN WESLEY TRIPP
Jonathan Wesley Tripp, 31, of New York City passed suddenly on June 3, 2012. He was born in Natick, Massachusetts on Jan. 30, 1981. He graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City with the class of 2004.
He was a fashion designer with Gucci in New York City and previously worked for Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs.
He was a dedicated artist and lover of nature.
Mr. Tripp will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and kitty, Miss Kaboom.
He was the loving son of Kathleen Tripp McGrath and Harold McGrath of East Walpole. Brother of Jessica Leigh Tripp of Dorchester, grandson of Dorothy Tripp of North Attleboro and the late Charles and Joan McCarthy of Walpole. Son of Richard Tripp of Foxboro.
Arrangments were handled by James H. Delaney & Son Funeral Home 48 Common Street Walpole. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fashion Institute of Technology Foundation Seventh Avenue at 27th Street Room C204 New York, NY 10001-5992.
ESTER T. PETRONI
Esther T. Petroni, 90, of East Walpole died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Norwood Hospital.
Born on June 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Gemma (DiCicco) Petroni.
Miss Petroni was a lifelong resident of East Walpole and graduated from Walpole High School in 1940.
Before her retirement, she worked at Plymouth Rubber Co. in Canton for over 50 years.
She is survived by her two sisters, Ninnette Grusheski and Betty Petroni, both of East Walpole, a sister–in-law Mary Conti Petroni of East Walpole, a brother-in-law Peter Connolly of Norwood and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Sally Petroni and Rita Connolly and a brother Lili Domenic Petroni.
Arrangments were handled by Ginley Funeral Home, 892 Main St. in Walpole (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). A funeral Mass was held at St. Mary’s Church. Burial was in St. Francis Cemetery in South Walpole.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the St. Mary’s Parish Scholarship Fund, 176 Washington St., East Walpole, MA 02032.
JEAN O. (THOMPSON) O'MALLEY
Jean O. (Thompson) O’Malley 87, of Walpole died June 13 in Norwood Hospital. She was the wife of the late Gerard O’Malley who died in 2006.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, October 1, 1924, the daughter of the late Carl and Mattie (Hawkins) Thompson, Mrs. O’Malley was raised in Michigan and had lived in Walpole for the past 13 years.
Mrs. O’Malley had been a retail clerk at TJ Maxx.
Jean was an avid animal lover and above all devoted to her family.
She is survived by her children, Dennis O’Malley and his wife Donna of St. Petersburg, Florida, Timothy O’Malley and his wife Gale of North Attleboro and Colleen Myers and her husband Edward of Walpole.
She was the mother of the late Patrick and Brian O’Malley.
She was the sister of the late Mary Sanford, James Thompson and June Jackson.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved pets Remy, Grady, and Angel.
Her memorial service was held at Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main St. Walpole. Burial was at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
