Walpole's Butts Earns Honorable Mention All-American Honors for Loyola

Former Walpole High standout Davis Butts was an honorable mention selection as a midfielder by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for his play on the NCAA Division 1 champions Loyola University of Maryland men's team.

The junior had 21 goals and 14 assists for 35 points in 19 games for the Greyhounds, who went 18-1, beating the University of Maryland, 9-3, in the title game at Gillette Stadium May 28.

As a sophomore, the 2009 WHS graduate had 10 goals and five assists, while he had four goals as a freshman.

At Walpole High, Butts was a three-time Bay State League all-star.
