Walpole's Hoyt Making Immediate Impact on Stonehill College Baseball Team

Walpole's Chris Hoyt had two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs as the Stonehill College baseball team scored three ninth-inning runs to earn a 6-5 comeback victory over the Pace University Setters in a non-conference matchup on the campus of Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. Saturday.
The freshman second baseman and outfielder is hitting .333 in 16 games with six RBI.
Stonehill played the last game on their Florida trip Sunday, losing to Pace, 8-6. Hoyt went 1-for-3 with an RBI as the Skyhawks finished 12-6. They will start the northern part of their season Wednesday at home against Bentley University.

Hoyt graduated from Xaverian last year, where he was a starter and a two-year Catholic Conference All-Star.
