Walpole's Lavanchy's Bat Continues to Deliver for Wheaton College
Walpole's Matt Lavanchy drives in winning run in Wheaton College's 1-0 win over Clark Sunday.

Freshman second baseman Matt Lavanchy was on fire for the Wheaton College baseball team this weekend.
He batted .429 with three RBI as the Lyons split a doubleheader at Springfield College Saturday, losomh, 3-1 and winning 4-0 at Berry-Allen Field.
In the second game, Lavanchy, a former Walpole High standout, delivered the big hits for the Lyons.

With Wheaton ahead, 1-0, Lavanchy knocked home senior Sean Ryan with a single in the top of the sixth innings. He then delivered a two-run double in the eighth inning.
He wasn't through for the weekend after Saturday.

Lavanchy drove in the winning run with a second inning triple in a 1-0 win over Springfield Sunday. It was his third triple of the season.
On the season, Lavanchy is batting .367 in 28 gaems with a home, 20 RBI and 16 runs scored.
Wheaton (21-7, 13-2 NEWMAC) travels to Western New England University on Tuesday, April 16 for a non-conference game at 3:30 p.m.
