Walpole's Morgan to be Inducted Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame
Former Boston Red Sox manager Joe Morgan is going to be inducted into the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame.

Walpole's own, Joe Morgan, is going to be inducted into the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame, July 25, at Foley's N.Y. Pub & Restaurant in New York City.
Morgan authored "Morgan Magic" when he took over as the manager of the Boston Red Sox in 1988. During his three and half years at the helm of the Sox, Morgan posted a 301-262 in three years, winning two AL East Division titles. He was also a coach and scout for Boston and managed in their minor league system.

During his playing career, Morgan played for the Milwaukee Braves, Kansas City Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, Cleveland Indians and the St. Louis Cardinals, appearing in 88 major league games from 1959-1961 and in 1964.
