Walpole's Nicholson Earns All-University Baseball Honors at Brandeis
Walpole's Pat Nicholson was named to the All-University Athletic Association first team for his play on the Brandeis University baseball team.

Brandeis University graduate student Pat Nicholson of Walpole, and senior Sean O'Hare of Southampton, were selected to the 2012 All-University Athletic Association first team as infielders.
Nicholson, who played first base, designated hitter and pitcher for the Judges, played in 32 of the team's 39 games and led the squad with 38 hits and a .384 batting average.

He was second with seven doubles and tied for second with 15 RBI and two home runs, while finishing third with a .535 slugging percentage and 16 runs scored.
Nicholson had a team-high 15-game hitting streak during the season and had 13 multi-hit games and four multi-RBI contests. Nicholson's best offensive performance came in a 14-7 win over Bowdoin College on April 25, when he went 4-for-5 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

He also hit home runs against Farmingdale State on Feb. 24 in an 11-7 loss and Colby on April 7 in a contest the Judges dropped by a 13-11 score.
Nicholson also threw 35.2 innings, making eight appearances, including six starts. He went 0-4 with a save and a 4.79 ERA, second-lowest on the squad.
Brandeis finished the 2012 season with an 8-31 record and went 1-7 in the UAA.
